Social media has run its course for me. I no longer have interest in using it or engaging with it. Not to say I don’t want to be social but I think everything that comes with using social media is like a kick in the groin after a firm handshake… I can only take so much willingly.

Getting rid of social media feels like excusing yourself from the conversation. In doing so you will miss out on things, some are important like major events, friends, family and community; others are more frivolous like memes, hot takes and AI slop.

I’m choosing to maintain my relationships via email, texts and phone calls. Part of that is being able to share my work with people, mostly friends and family. So I’ve built this site: a simple outlet where I can share my photography mainly and share my writing when I feel so inclined without having to provide some tech company access to my personal life via third-party cookies.

This will be my platform, my own personal void to scream into. I welcome you to bear witness, and thank you for taking the time.
